A Family Legacy Built From Scratch

Family-owned since 1994, this Mexican restaurant prepares classic dishes from scratch using homemade recipes and quality ingredients rooted in Michoacán tradition.

A Family Dream, Built from Scratch

Ranchero Catering began in 1994 when Antonio and Graciela Barragan moved from Michoacán, Mexico to California with a simple goal: open a restaurant that honored tradition and hard work. They believed good food starts with care, patience, and respect for ingredients. From day one, every dish was prepared from scratch, with no preservatives, palm oil, or lard. What started as a family dream grew through dedication, consistency, and pride in honest cooking.

Generations Working Side by Side

Today, that same family spirit continues through the next generation. Antonio and Graciela’s daughter Silvia and their five sons work daily in the business, keeping the focus on quality and service. This hands-on approach shapes every meal and every guest experience. The recipes remain true to their roots, and the work ethic stays the same. It’s a place where family values guide decisions and where consistency matters more than shortcuts.

Every meal reflects a commitment to homemade cooking and reliable quality. The kitchen prepares classic Mexican dishes using time-tested methods and carefully chosen ingredients. From tacos to burritos, enchiladas, and chilaquiles, each plate is made with attention and balance. Nothing rushed, nothing overdone. The goal is simple food done well, served fresh, and prepared the same way guests have trusted for years.

Our Mission

Our Mission

Along the way, we’ve realized that our commitment to serving traditional Mexican food with trust, respect, and integrity could extend beyond tacos, burritos, tortas, and quesadillas. We’ve built on our vision for the future of always bringing the best flavor from the heart of Mexico.
